Servisair announces the renewal of their Central Deicing Facility contract with the City of Philadelphia after a competitive process taken place in July.
Since 2005, Servisair has been managing and operating the Centralized Deicing Facility (CDF) at Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), one of the world’s most advanced deicing facilities. Wes Bement, Regional Director, commented: “Servisair’s experience in deicing and in executing our Standard Operating Procedures at CDFs worldwide has definitely played a part in the selection process. We are very honored that the City of Philadelphia and the airline community have confirmed their trust in our abilities to run the PHL CDF in a successful way. The challenges, such as equipment maintenance, staff management, environmental compliance and season preparedness are all key factors that need astute management and intense oversight. Throughout these last six years Servisair has won only accolades from the stakeholder community for a job well done in all aspects of the operation. This contract is testament to our commitment and strategy to remain the best Deicing Services provider in North America.”
